• Product Description

  The DeliVac food waste system utilizes a vacuum system for collecting and transporting food waste from various areas of the vessel, significantly reducing the manual handling and labour associated with traditional waste disposal methods. By efficiently capturing and conveying food waste through a closed system, the risk of odours, leakage, and spillages is greatly minimized. This not only enhances the hygiene and cleanliness of the vessel but also contributes to a more organized and efficient food waste management process.

  Once collected, the food waste is processed in the feeding stations and transported for storage in a separate holding tank. By shredding and macerating the waste, the system ensures that the food waste is in a suitable state for compliant discharge into the sea, in accordance with Marpol annex V regulations. This systematic approach to food waste disposal not only helps vessels meet regulatory requirements but also promotes responsible environmental stewardship by minimizing the impact of food waste discharge on marine ecosystems.

  Transportation by vacuum reduces the need for complicated pipelines and pumps. Vacuum transport ensures safe transport through the pipes to the holding tank with minimal chance of blockage. Vacuum transport also contributes to the homogenizing of the food waste.
