MADE IN NORWAY
First of all, it is not our aim to provide the most advanced and fancy technology for waste management equipment available on the market, but try to develop, in close cooperation with our clients, the technology required to get the job done. Our main focus is to design equipment that works reliably in the demanding marine and offshore industry, is easy to operate by the crew and is economically viable for the owner.
Robust
Our waste management equipment is made of stainless steel and therefore suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation and is designed for use in the demanding maritime and offshore industry. All joints are either welded or screwed, rivets are not an option. For your information, the very first compactor, sold in 1992 for outdoor installation, is still in operation on a Norwegian ship!
Versatile
The equipment is made for the seaman who finally operates it. It is designed to make shipboard waste management easier for the crew by applying only some very basic processes to operate the system. Special crew training or knowledge is not required. The equipment is designed for plug-and-play installation, i.e. only electrical power is to be provided externally. As soon as the equipment is screwed to deck and the electrical power is hocked-up, the unit is ready to use. Special tools and expensive commissioning services are not required for our units.
Powerful
All Delitek units are equipped with powerful drives in order to make sure that the particular job gets done quickly and effectively. The high press force of 9 tons of even our smallest multi-fraction compactor model, the DT-200i, provides excellent volume reduction values and is well capable to compact even stiffer materials without problems.
Safe
The design is made to get the job done quickly, effectively and safely without additional features that may complicate the process which have a tendency to make equipment more expensive and may even lead to costly repairs and/or spare parts deliveries afterwards. It is based on standard components that a ships engineer can easily deal with in the case something needs to be replaced. The powerful electro/hydraulic drive, i.e. the heard of the system, is also based on reliable and proven technology that has been used in the marine and offshore industry for decades.
Why we do what we do?
In earlier years, the ocean seemingly provided us with both an endless supply of food and a bottomless pit for our waste. Human activity was literally just a drop in it. Sure, it provided obstacles and challenges as well, but what didn’t occur to us until recently, is that we might be hurting it … and that it needs our help.
